The number on a price list only means something next to the number of sessions it takes to finish. A clinic charging $60 a session on an entry-level IPL device that needs fifteen visits costs more than $95 a session on a medical diode that finishes in seven — and takes two years longer to get you there.
Three things set the real cost of a course:
- The platform. An 808 nm diode with contact cooling clears coarse hair in fewer passes than IPL and can be run safely on dark skin.
- The operator. Settings are a judgement call made against your live skin response, not a chart. Experience shortens courses.
- Honest scheduling. Being brought back every four weeks when your area needs eight just sells sessions that do nothing.

A medical-grade diode platform costs several times what a countertop IPL unit does, and it clears hair in fewer sessions — so a $60 IPL session that needs 15 visits is more expensive overall than a $95 diode session that needs 7.

Yes. Buying three sessions up front saves roughly 12–15% compared with paying per session, and it is how most clients book, because nobody finishes a course in one visit. Larger multi-area packages — full body, or a bundle of legs plus bikini plus underarms — are quoted individually at your consultation.
Yes. The in-person consultation runs about 15 minutes and includes a skin type assessment, a review of your medical history and medications, a patch test where appropriate, and a written quote for your areas. There is no obligation to book.
